There are 14 defined steps to examine. Specific points on the meridians are stimulated by rubbing the point with the diagnostic pen contained in your kit. The same pressure should be used on each point, and both sides of the horse are stimulated. The horse's reactions will tell you where his problems are. After you have diagnosed the problem you may treat the horse. The McLaren Method of Treatment eliminates the need to understand complex acupuncture theory. It is based on treating 9 standard points and any sore points for all conditions. The points are demonstrated on the CD in your kit and also on the quick reference charts.
